In 2014 the berlin-based start-up Genespots Ltd. developed the concept for a groundbreaking diagnostic device for the early detection of specific types of cancer. The so-called Healthlogger is designed to check your state of health, either at the doctor’s surgery or from the comfort of your own home, producing a result within minutes and suggesting possible follow-up diagnostic procedures.
For the first round of financing, we designed the testing device and crafted a product film that succinctly illustrates its features and usage.
The design language of the test unit should be as friendly and clean as possible to avoid possible fears about the device and its function. The design study resulted in a balanced and soft product language with no unnecessary edges and joints.
The aim of the film was to focus on two things. On the one hand, it should clarify the user-friendliness and, on the other hand, show the technical innovative power of the product through a “journey” into the inside of the product.
